Whipping Cream Pound Cake

I had half a pint of heavy whipping cream set to expire in my fridge so I needed to find a recipe. Not far into my searching, I found this one, which sounded pretty good. The pound cake was really delicious and actually tasted better a few days later.

My music taste is generally in the alternative genre, but I also like indie. And I love college radio.

Every once in a while I like something that can only be classified as pop. Usually, it's a sappy song with a good hook that gets me.

So here's the latest song that I hate to admit I like. The worst thing may be that it's by someone from American Idol. The horror!

Cookies, Cookies and More Cookies

This year's cookies include (clockwise from CC Cookies) Chocolate Chip Cookies, Sour Cream Cookies, Kiefels, Gingerbread Cut-Outs, Pecan Tarts, Swedish Sugar Cookies and Rugelach. My grandmother made the Pecan Tarts and the Kiefels. The others were made by me and the gang. I can't link to most of the recipes because they're old and/or not easily available online.
